Repack Handling Unit (whwmd5230m200)

Use this session to repack handling units in inventory according to a different package definition.

Repacking is allowed for handling units that:

  • Have the In Stock status.
  • Are not blocked for inventory transactions, cycle counting, or assembly.
  • Are not linked to any active inbound, outbound, cycle counting, inventory adjustment or quarantine process.

You can specify or select a source handling unit (a handling unit to be repacked) in the Handling Unit field.

The application reuses bottom-level handling units when repacking handling units in inventory and issuing handling units from stock during picking, provided that the conditions are met.

LN allows you to specify the application that must be used to print the labels for the defined layout.

Allowed values

Infor LN

The labels are printed by LN.

External application

The labels are printed by an external application.

Note:

You can view this field only if packaging level BOD is implemented.

Default value of this field is Infor LN.

The value External application is not applicable when the packaging label BOD is not implemented.

Label Layout

The code applied for single-item handling units. This label layout code is linked to handling units when LN generates the handling units. You can modify the label layout code.

To print labels for handling units, LN determines the label layout in the following priority:

  1. Use the label layout defined for the handling unit

  2. Use the label layout defined in the Warehouse Order Activities

  3. Use the label layout defined in the relevant sessions that triggers the label printing

For each of the priorities listed above, LN searches for the layout text in the following sequence:

  1. Apply activity-specific layout text from the Label Layout by Activities (whwmd5121m000) session
  2. Apply the general layout text from the Label Layouts (whwmd5520m000) session
Note: If no label layout code is specified, LN retrieves the label layout codes defined at warehouse order activity level or warehouse level.

Copies

The number of copies of the label that must be printed.
