Warehouse - Item Inventory (whwmd2115s000)

Use this session to view the item inventory for each warehouse. This is information about the item's inventory at warehouse level.

The Warehouse Location group box, displays the details of item inventory availability in the warehouse. Since, the warehouse or the item need not be location controlled, the information is displayed according to the status of availability of the item.

Note: Effectivity units of items that are not lot-controlled are not recorded in warehouse inventory.

The warehouse where the item is stored.

The description or name of the code.

Item

The item code.

Inventory Unit

The inventory unit in which the item is stored.

Inventory Ownership
Company Owned

The quantity of the owned inventory on hand.

Inventory on Order

The quantity of the owned inventory on order.

Location Allocated

The quantity of the owned allocated inventory.

The quantity allocated at the location level is the quantity that is advised for outbound.

If outbound advice is generated, this quantity is increased. When the outbound advice is released, this quantity is decreased with the shipped quantity.

In Transit

The quantity of owned items that are being transferred from one warehouse to another within the same LN company. If a transfer between two warehouses has been issued but not yet received, the quantity in transit is increased. If a transfer has been received at the other warehouse, the quantity in transit is decreased. After being confirmed in the issuing warehouse, you can receive the items in the destination warehouse.

Consignment Inventory on Hand

The quantity of the customer owned inventory on hand.

Consignment Inventory on Order

The quantity of the consigned inventory on order.

Consignment Inventory Location Allocated

The quantity of the consigned allocated inventory.

The quantity allocated at the location level is the quantity that is advised for outbound.

If outbound advice is generated, this quantity is increased. When the outbound advice is released, this quantity is decreased with the shipped quantity.

Consignment Inventory in Transit

The quantity of consigned items that are being transferred from one warehouse to another within the same LN company. Customer Owned Inventory Location Allocated

The quantity of the customer owned allocated inventory.

The allocated inventory is updated by outbound order lines of the following origins:

  • Maintenance sales
  • Maintenance work
  • SFC Production
  • ASC Production
  • Service
  • Transfer
  • Project
Note: LN automatically updates the overall allocated inventory for each item throughout all warehouses. The overall allocated inventory is displayed in the Company - Item Inventory (whwmd4100m100) session.
Blocked

The total inventory on hold for the item in the warehouse, expressed in the inventory unit. Inventory on hold is part of the inventory on hand.

Inventory can be blocked by blocking all transactions on:

  • The location, zone, or warehouse ( Zone/Location Blocking (whwmd6110m000)
  • The lot ( Lot Blocking (whwmd6120m000)
  • The stock point ( Stock Point Blocking (whwmd6130m000)

Inventory can also be blocked as a result of an approval that must be inspected.

Blocked for Planning

The quantity excluded from planning. The items exist but are unavailable for planning.

Committed

The item quantity in this warehouse that is committed to any order for which inventory must be issued.

The quantity is expressed in the inventory unit.

LN also automatically updates the total commitments for each item throughout all warehouses.

Economic

Actual Available

The inventory actually available in the warehouse that can be linked to an order.

Goods in Transit

The total quantity of the item listed on advance shipment notice lines that have been shipped but have not yet been received in the current warehouse.

The quantity of the goods in transit is expressed in the inventory unit.

Warehouse Location
Receipt Open

The item quantity available in the process of warehouse receipts lines and which is not yet confirmed.

Received

The item quantity which is received in the warehouse and is ready to be put away. It is the quantity available at the receipt locations.

Note: If the warehouse or item is not location controlled, the quantity is always zero.
Inbound Inspection

The item quantity which is available for inbound inspection or the quantity which is already inspected and is ready to be put away.

Note: If the warehouse and item are location controlled, the total quantity available at inspection locations.
Quarantine

The inventory rejected after inspection. The item quantity which is is yet to be accepted, destroyed, returned or putaway.

Note: If the warehouse and item are location controlled, the total quantity available at reject locations.
In Stock

The total inventory on hand which is not part of other processes.

Note: 

Stock = Inventory on hand - Received - Inbound inspection - rejection - outbound inspection - staged.

If the warehouse and item are location controlled, the inventory available at the bulk and pick locations.

Outbound Inspection

The outbound item quantity which is ready for inspection.

Staged

The item quantity which is inspected and staged and ready for shipment.

Inventory Committed in Process

That part of the committed inventory for which at least one the following applies:

  • An outbound advice exists for (a part of) the committed quantity.
  • (A part of) the committed quantity is blocked for outbound inspection. This quantity need not to be equal to the Blocked inventory in the current session, because this is the item's total blocked quantity in the warehouse.
Note: The quantity that is Inventory Committed in Process cannot be more than the Committed quantity.

Dates and Cumulatives
Last Inventory Transaction Date

The date of the item's last physical inventory transaction for a warehouse. This implies that only changes in the inventory on hand cause this date to change.

Historical Inventory Balance Date

The date corresponding to the historic inventory-balance. This is the date of the most recent inventory-transaction that is archived.

Cumulative Issue

The standard item's cumulative issue for a specific warehouse.

Historical Inventory Balance

An item's inventory on hand on the date of the most recent inventory-transaction that is archived.

Standard Cost

The standard cost, including any surcharges or discounts. Item standard costs are calculated in the Calculate Standard Cost (ticpr2210m000) session.

Moving Average Unit Cost (MAUC)

During receipt, goods are valued against the receipt price. For further information, see Moving Average Unit Cost (MAUC).

If Inventory Valuation Method is set to Moving Average Unit Cost (MAUC), LN allows you to select the Valuation by Warehouse Valuation Group check box in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2510m000) session; and the inventory valuation is based on the MAUC by Warehouse Valuation Group valuation method.

First In First Out (FIFO)

When issued, goods are valued against the oldest inventory value. During receipt, the inventory value and the receipt quantity is stored in the Inventory Receipt Transactions (whina1512m000) session .The value of these receipts will be consumed during each issue in FIFO order.

Issue 1 150 pcs consisting of 100 x $5 + 50 x $6 = $800
Remaining Value 50 pcs of $6 each = $300
Last In First Out (LIFO)

When issued, goods are valued against the most recent inventory value. During receipt, the inventory value and the receipt quantity is stored in the Inventory Receipt Transactions (whina1512m000) session. The value of these receipts will be consumed during each issue in LIFO order.

Lot Price (Lot)

The inventory is valued against the lot price defined for the specific item during receipt or issue. The lot price is filled with the purchase order price. For manufactured lot items, the lot price is filled with the standard cost value. For more information, refer to Lot pricing.

The inventory is valued against the lot price defined for the specific item during receipt or issue. The serial price is filled with the purchase order price. For manufactured serialized items, the serial price is filled with the standard cost value.
