Generate Inventory Commitment based on
Generate Inventory Commitment based on

The method to generate inventory commitment of inventory for orders of type Issue that are not fully committed. When the commitment is generated, LN commits the required inventory for the specific order lines. This reduces the inventory for the other orders or order lines.

This field can have the following values:

  • Planned Delivery Date

Inventory commitment is based on the issue transaction dates of the planned inventory transactions in the Planned Inventory Transactions (whinp1500m000) session. Issue transaction dates are specified in the Transaction Date field. The inventory transaction with the oldest transaction date is the first to be committed.
  • Order Origin Priority

Inventory commitment is based on the order-origin priority. Orders of the origin with the highest priority are committed first.

If you select this option, the Options tab is available in the Generate Inventory Commitments (whinp2200m000) session. In this tab you can use the Order Priority fields to specify the order-origin priority.

Note: If the Planned Delivery Date is selected, inventory commitments are generated for planned delivery dates in the future without restriction. The Commitment Lead Time Factor and Commitment Lead Time Constant (Hours) fields in the Sales Order Parameters (tdsls0100s400) session are overruled.
