Cross-dock Orders (whinh6100m000)

Use this session to create and maintain cross-dock orders.

Note: 
  • You can only create cross-dock orders for outbound-order lines whose status is other than Shipped, and for which no other cross-dock orders with status Open, Planned, In Process, Staged, or Closed, exist.
  • Cross-dock orders originating from Sales or Procurement can be maintained in the same way as cross-dock orders created in Warehousing, with the exception of the sales order/purchase order link, which cannot be changed.

Cross-dock Order
Cross-dock Order

The cross-dock order number.

Note: The value of this field will be generated based on the defined Number Group in the Inventory Handling Parameters (whinh0100m000) and entered series.
Cross-dock Order Status
Open

The cross-dock order receives the status Open when it is created.

Planned

The cross-dock order receives the status Planned, when one or more cross-dock order lines have status Approved, and there are no cross-dock order lines with status Advised.

In Process

The cross-dock order receives the status In Process, when one or more cross-dock order lines have status Advised.

Staged

The cross-dock order receives the status Staged, when the actually cross-docked quantity equals the requested cross-dock quantity.

Closed

The cross-dock order receives the status Closed or Canceled, when the outbound order line (BOM) receives the status Shipped. If the actually cross-docked quantity is zero, the cross-dock order receives the status Canceled, otherwise it receives the status Closed.

Canceled

The cross-dock order receives the status Closed or Canceled, when the outbound order line (BOM) receives the status Shipped. If the actually cross-docked quantity is zero, the cross-dock order receives the status Canceled, otherwise it receives the status Closed. See also Cancel Cross-dock Orders (whinh6200m200).

  • EP Distribution

  • Sales, except for:
    • consignment invoicing
    • collect orders
    • retro-billed orders
    • cost orders
  • Sales (Manual)
  • Sales Schedule
  • Service
  • Service (Manual)
  • JSC Production, except for backflushing.
  • JSC Production (Manual)
  • Transfer, except for transaction type WIP Transfer.
  • Transfer (Manual), except for transaction type WIP Transfer.
Note: In addition to the exceptions indicated above, cross-dock orders can neither be created for return orders nor for blanket orders.

Serial Number

The serial number of the outbound order line.

Effectivity Unit

The effectivity unit of the outbound order line.

The project of the project peg line of the outbound order line.

Element

The element of the project peg line of the outbound order line.

Activity

The activity of the project peg line of the outbound order line.

Cross-dock Order
Requested in Cross-dock Unit

The requested quantity to cross-dock.

Unit

The unit that is used for the Requested Quantity to Cross-dock in Cross-dock Unit quantity.

Default value

The storage unit from the outbound-order line.

Note: You can change this unit as long as the quantity advised to cross-dock is zero.
Requested Quantity to Cross-dock

The requested quantity, expressed in the inventory unit.

Staging Location

Default value

  • The location that was defined for the item and/or business partner.
  • Otherwise, the default staging location.
Note: 
  • You can change this location as long as the quantity advised to cross-dock is zero.
  • If the warehouse is not location controlled, this field is empty, and you cannot change it.
User Priority

Default value

  • For cross-dock orders of type Direct Material Supply: system priority.
  • Otherwise, 2147483647 (maximum value).
  • Minimum value: 1

Quantities In Inventory Unit
Planned Quantity to Cross-dock

The total of all quantities planned to cross-dock of the corresponding cross-dock order lines with status other than Canceled. This field is filled after creation of one or more cross-dock order lines.

Approved Quantity to Cross-dock

The total of all quantities planned to cross-dock of the corresponding cross-dock order lines that have reached the status Approved. This field is filled when one or more cross-dock order lines are approved.

Advised Quantity to Cross-dock

The total of all quantities advised to cross-dock of the corresponding cross-dock order lines. This field is filled when an inbound advice is created for one or more cross-dock order lines.

Cross-docked Quantity

The total of all quantities actually cross-docked of the corresponding cross-dock order lines. This field is filled when an inbound advice is put away for one or more cross-dock order lines.

Inventory Unit

The inventory unit in which each of the quantities on the Quantities tab is expressed.

Miscellaneous
Last Change Date

This cross-dock order's creation or change date.

User

If applicable, the logon code of the user who created or changed the cross-dock order.

Cross-dock Order Type

The cross-docking type.
