From Handling Unit

The handling unit that is advised to storage, inspection, or, if cross-docking applies, to staging. This handling unit can be advised to a different handling unit. The destination handling unit is displayed in the To Handling Unit field.

To Handling Unit

The handling unit for which the inbound advice is created. If this handling unit was created from another handling unit, the original handling unit from which this handling unit is created is displayed in the From Handling Unit field.

For example, if the original handling unit is a pallet containing several boxes, you can split up the handling unit into the smaller (child) handling units representing the boxes and then create inbound advice for the boxes.
