Physical Progress by Element/Material (tpppc1120s000)

Use this session to maintain the progress for the combination of the element and the material cost object.

Field Information

Project

The project code.

Project Status

The project's current status.

Date

The date the progress for this particular project and its element or activity is entered.

Element

The element code.

Description

The element status.

Item

If the Prog. Reg. Level field in the Projects (tppdm6100m000) session is Cost Object, you can select a budgeted cost object. If this field is Control Code, you can select the control code of a budgeted cost object.

Prog. Reg. Level

This field determines the method with which you can record the progress for this cost type.

Budget Quantity

The budgeted quantity of the item.

Reported Completed

This field indicates whether the selected cost object has been reported as completed.

A cost object can be reported completed even if the progress is not 100%, as shown in the following example.

In the Planning module you have budgeted 100 cubic meters of soil. However, only 80 cubic meters of soil need to be deposited. Once the work is ready, select this field and enter 80% in the Phys. Progress [%] field because you only needed 80% of the total budgeted quantity.

If the progress is not 100%, the difference against the budget can be settled, if:

  • The To be Settled check box in the Elements (tpptc1100m000) session is selected for the selected element.
  • The selected cost object belongs to an extension for which the Extension Type field in the Extension (tpptc0110s000) session is Quantities-to-be-settled.
Phys. Progress [%]

The progress of the selected cost object or control code, expressed as a percentage of the total budgeted quantity or time.

If the Register Progress field in the Projects (tppdm6100m000) session is Yes, you can maintain this field for the selected cost object or project.

If the Reported Completed check box is selected, the value of the above field does not have an influence. You can always enter the progress.

If the Physical Progress > 100% Allowed check box in the Project Accounting Parameters (tpppc0100s000) session is selected, you can enter a progress greater than 100%.

Example

In the Planning module you budgeted 100 cubic meters of soil. However, you deposited an additional 20 cubic meters. In this case, you enter 120%.

Phys. Progress [Qty.]

The progress of the selected cost object or control code, expressed as a quantity or amount of time.

Project Inventory

An item's quantity is still present as the inventory for the project.

You can enter inventory only if:

  • The Reported Completed check box is not selected.
  • The Prog. Reg. Level field in the Projects (tppdm6100m000) session is set to Cost Object.

The result is calculated in the Project Progress module, as shown in the following example.

Example

Budgeted : 95,000 units at 0.95 = 90,250 Actual sales:
100,000 at 1 = 100,000 Progress is 25% while the inventory on hand for the
				project is still 76,000 units. Allowed budget: Progress 25% x 90,250 =
				22,562.50 Inventory on hand = 76,000 x 0.95 = 72,200.00 Total = 94,762.50 Total
qty sold up to this date: 100,000.00 Result up to this date: -5,237.50

Unit
