Update Project Prices and Rates (tppdm6201m000)

Use this session to update rates and prices of project-specific cost objects and labor rates globally. This covers cost objects of the types labor, subcontracting, equipment and sundry cost.

Note If you select the check boxes in the Labor Rate group box, the rates specified in the Specific Labor Rates (tcppl0192m000) session are updated.

You must specify how you want the updates to be implemented. To do so you must select the method to update the rates. You have the following options:

  • Update from Master Data: The standard rates/prices from which the cost objects are derived, are adopted.
  • Update with Percentage: The prices and rates are updated by a specified percentage.
  • Update with Amount: The prices and rates are updated by a specified amount. Use positive values for increase in price and negative values for decrease in price.
  • Update from Reference Activity: The prices and rates are updated from Infor LN Service.

You must also specify the following:

  • The time period for which the updates are valid. In this case, the transaction dates of the price/rate transactions of the standard cost objects, or labor rates, are checked. You can specify the time period only when the Method field is set to Update from Master Data
  • The range of projects for which the updates are valid.
  • For each cost type, the prices which you want to update.
  • For each cost type, the range of cost objects whose prices you want to update.
Note: Rates and prices previously marked as final cannot be updated using this session. For example, if the Final Cost Rate check box is checked for a labor cost rate in the Specific Labor Rates (tcppl0192m000) session, then the labor cost rate will not be updated in this session.

Indicates the method that is used to update prices and rates for the project cost objects, globally.

Percentage

The percentage by which the rate/price is to be updated, according to the following formula.

Note: 
New = Old + ((percentage/100)*
		  old) 

Example

If the old price was $20, and the percentage was 10 per cent, the new price would be calculated as follows: New = 20 + ((10/100) * 20) New = 22

Amount

The amount by which the rate/price is to be updated.

Currency

The currency.

Only for Currency

The currency in which the update amount is expressed. Only the amounts that have this currency will be updated.

Note: This field is enabled only if the Method is set to Update with Fixed Amount.
Description

The description or name of the code.

Selection
Date

The From and To fields define a range of: dates for which the updates are valid.

Project

The From and To fields define a range of: range of projects for which the updates are valid.

Options-Materials
Unit Cost

If this check box is selected, the unit cost of the project items are updated.

From Item

The From and To fields define a range of: project items for which the updates are applicable.

Note: This field range is enabled only if you select the Unit Cost check box.
Derived From Item

The From and To fields define a range of: items specified in the Items - Project (tppdm0505m000) session, for which the updates are applicable.

Cost Rate

If this check box is selected, the task standard cost is updated.

Sales Rate

If this check box is selected, the task sales price is updated.

Intercompany Rate

If this check box is selected, the intercompany rate for the task is updated.

Cost Rate

If this check box is selected, the standard cost of the equipment is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Sales Rate

If this check box is selected, the sales price of the equipment cost is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Purchase Rate

If this check box is selected, the purchase price of the equipment cost is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Unit Cost

If this check box is selected, the unit cost of the subcontracting cost is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Sales Price

If this check box is selected, the sales price of the subcontracting cost is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Purchase Price

If this check box is selected, the purchase price of the subcontracting cost is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Unit Cost

If this check box is selected, the unit cost of the sundry cost is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Sales Price

If this check box is selected, the sales price of the sundry cost is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Intercompany Rate

If this check box is selected, the intercompany rate of the sundry cost is updated, based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Labor Rate
Cost Rate

If this check box is selected, the cost rate specified in the Specific Labor Rates (tcppl0192m000) session, is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Sales Rate

If this check box is selected, the sales rate specified in the Specific Labor Rates (tcppl0192m000) session, is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Intercompany Rate

If this check box is selected, the intercompany rate specified in the Specific Labor Rates (tcppl0192m000) session, is updated based on the method specified in the Settings group box.

Selection Range
Labor

The From and To fields define a range of: task costs for which the rates are updated.

Note: This field range is enabled only if you select the Cost Rate check box.
Trade Group

The From and To fields define a range of: trade groups for which the rates are updated.

Note: This field range is enabled only if you select the Cost Rate check box.
From Equipment

The From and To fields define a range of: equipment costs for which the rates are updated.

Note: This field range is enabled only if you select the Cost Rate check box.
From Subcontracting

The From and To fields define a range of: subcontracting costs for which the rates are updated.

Note: This field range is enabled only if you select the Unit Cost check box.
Sundry Cost

The From and To fields define a range of: sundry costs for which the rates are updated.

Note: This field range is enabled only if you select the Unit Cost check box.
Labor Rate

The From and To fields define a range of: labor rate codes for which the rates are updated.
