Equipment (tppdm0112s000)

Use this session to maintain standard equipment cost objects.

The currency used for the standard object is the reference currency of the logistic/operational company. If you link the standard object to a project, you can start using the currencies of the linked financial company. This session also allows you to view the information in the list detail view. See: List Detail session.

The search key associated with the cost object.

Item Group

The item group to which the cost object belongs.

The code of the department.

Note: Only departments of type Work Center and Project Management Office can be selected.

Project Order System

The project order system uses the control data to order equipment . You can either generate orders by using the project requirement planning (PRP) or order manually.

PRP: Only the PRP related items will be considered in the Generate Planned PRP Orders (tppss6200m000) session.
Manual: Only items ordered manually will be considered in the Generate Purchase Budgets (tpptc4200m000) session.

Price Policy

Indicates the default price policy used in actual budgets for this cost object.

Allowed values

Standard Cost: The price of the item is calculated based on the standard cost of the item.
Purchase Price: The price of the item is calculated based on the purchase price of the item.

Purchase Statistics Group

The purchase statistics group associated with the cost object.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Purchase Price Group

The purchase price group associated with the cost object.

Purchase Rate Currency

The currency in which the purchase price is expressed.

Purchase Rate

The default purchase price, per time unit, for the cost object. This is stored in the price books.

In Home Currency

If your company uses an independent currency system you can view the purchase price in the home currency.

The last date when the purchase price is modified.

The units of measurement to express and manage the physical quantities of the standard equipment cost object.

The items' default manufacturer.

The employee who is responsible for maintaining the technical item specifications and the requirements for the manufacturer of the item.

Physical Properties

Weight

The item's weight, expressed in the item's weight unit. This information is required on the intrastat report.

Weight Unit

The weight unit in which the item's weight is expressed on the intrastat report. For details, see EU transaction reporting.

Material

The material of which the item is composed. This field is only used for information.

Size

The item's size. This field is only used for information.

Standard

The industrial standard used to produce or purchase the item. For example, NEN3140 or ISO9000. This field is only used for information.

Regulations

Country of Origin

The country where the item was originally manufactured.

This field is used on Intrastat declarations.

EAN Code

The bar code used to register the item.

Environmental Compliance

Worldwide, various regulations exist to limit the use of hazardous chemical substances in electronic equipment preventing environmental pollution.

Companies, in most cases producers of electronic equipment, are legally required to:

Set up and control compliancy rules.
Verify whether purchased, engineered, manufactured, and serviced material is compliant.
Verify whether their work processes are compliant.

This field indicates the item's environmental compliancy. The value in this field can be set by an external software application.

Characteristics

Operated Equipment

If this check box is selected, the equipment is allocated with an assigned employee to operate the same. This field is only used for information.

Self-Propelled

Indicates if the project equipment (truck or excavator) has self-propelling ability. By default, this check box is cleared.

Serialized

If this check box is selected, the equipment is a serialized item. When a standard equipment cost object is added, the item details are populated in the Items (tcibd0501m000) session.

Note:

This check box is enabled only if:

The serial number for the specific equipment is not specified in the Serialized Items (tcibd4501m000) session.
The equipment is not used in:
- Costs
- Requirement Planning (PRP)
- Service

External Equipment

If this check box is selected, the equipment is external. For example, rented or hired. Only for external equipment PRP orders can be generated. Internal Equipment can result in planned equipment request.

Note:

This option can be used only if the Equipment as a Service check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
You can change the choice in the budget. For example, if all your cranes are already in use and you must rent or hire a similar type of crane.

Buy-from Business Partner

Indicates the business partner from which you buy the equipment.

The planner.

Item Signal

The code that uniquely identifies the message displayed on the user's screen when this cost object is selected.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Number of Units Available

The number of units of this cost object currently available for use in the project.

Normal Cap. Utilization by Day

The normal capacity of this cost object, expressed in hours per day.

Order Lead Time

The order lead time for this cost object.

Calendar

The code that uniquely identifies the calendar with which this cost object is associated.

Description

The description or name of the code.

The availability type for the calendar.

Note: This field is enabled only if a value is specified in the Calendar field.

Tax Code

The tax code associated with the cost object.

Options

Register Progress

If this check box is selected, progress can be recorded for the cost object for the duration of the project.

Used in Schedule

If this check box is selected, the cost object can be used in an ESP (external scheduling package).

Billable

If this check box is selected, the selected standard equipment cost object can be invoiced to the business partner.

Picture

The picture of the equipment. By default, the picture is also displayed in the Items (tcibd0501m000) session.

You can also add a picture using the drag and drop operation.
The allowed images extensions are .jpg, .gif, or .png.

Text

General: If this check box is selected, the current cost object has an associated general text.
Purchase: If this check box is selected, the current cost object has an associated text that contains equipment lease data.
Sales: If this check box is selected, the current cost object has an associated text that contains sales data.
