Statuses in production synchronous schedules (PSS)

If you are working with production synchronous schedules (PSS) in Assembly Control, the supply request can have one of several statuses. You can find the Status field in the Line Station - Assembly Part Supply Transfer (Batch) (tiasc8510m000) session, and the Assembly Part Supply Transfer (SILS) (tiasc8520m000) session.

These statuses are:

  • Created The initial status of the transfer message or line.
  • Not Received Indicates that the transfer quantity has not been received. After the assembly part requirements are transferred to Warehousing or to the Purchase Control module (using the Transfer Assembly Part Supply Messages (tiasc8220m000) session), the transfer line's status changes from Created or Modified to Not received. When this occurs, LN selects the Transfer Done check box.
  • Modified The transfer information is based on an update. This status is only possible for order-control SILS items, because order-control batch items cannot have updates.
  • Partially Received Part of the quantity is received.
  • Received The entire quantity is received.
  • Canceled The assembly part is no longer needed, because the item has been removed from the order content.
Note: These statuses are not only used in external supply, but also in use for internal supply, that is, for the replenishment of the job shop warehouse by a main warehouse.

The following examples illustrate these statuses.

Example

A message is created for Part A:

  • Part = A
  • Quantity = 10
  • Status = Created
  • Transfer Done = No

If you change the Quantity to 15 (using the Replenish Shop Floor Warehouse (tiasc8210m000) session) and the assembly part request has not been sent to Warehousing or to the Purchase Control module, the existing record is modified as follows:

  • Part = A
  • Quantity = 15
  • Status = Modified
  • Transfer Done = No

After the message is transferred to Warehousing or to the Purchase Control module, you have the following record:

  • Part = A
  • Quantity = 15
  • Status = Not received
  • Transfer Done = Yes

If you now change the quantity to 20, the record appears as:

  • Part = A
  • Quantity = 20
  • Status = Modified
  • Transfer Done = No

If you transfer now, the previous line is deleted and the following line appears:

  • Part = A
  • Quantity = 20
  • Status = Modified
  • Transfer Done = Yes

Assembly Control does not store revisions, which is the reason the line was deleted when the transfer status changed.
