Operation status values

Operation status

The operation status informs you about the stage of the operation in the production process.

The following operation statuses are available:

  • Planned

    The operation is not yet started, but times and quantities were planned.
  • Ready to Start

    A previous operation completed at least one end product, as a result of which the current operation can start.
  • Started

    The operation has started, but no financial transactions (hours accounting, or issuing of materials) took place yet. The operation is only partly completed.
  • Active

    A WIP transaction was performed on this operation. When the first operation is set to Active, the order status also becomes Active. Hours were accounted, or materials were issued for this operation.
  • Completed

    All the work is completed for the operation. The quantities reported as completed and rejected, are final. You can set this status in the Report Operations Completed (tisfc0130m000) session. If required, you can click Reset Operation Status in the Report Operations Completed (tisfc0130m000) details session to change the operation status from Completed back to Active.
  • Closed

    The financial results are calculated and posted for the operation. Operations cannot be manually closed.
  • Blocked

    The operation is blocked manually in Job Shop Control, or automatically by an inspection order. If you manually block an operation, you must also specify a blocking reason. For more information, refer to Blocking operations.

Production order status and production order operation status

The production order status determines the status of the linked production order operation.

A production order operation can have the following statuses when the production order status is as follows:

  • Created

    The operation status is Planned or Blocked. No operations have started yet and the production order can still be changed.
  • Scheduled

    The operation status is Planned or Blocked. This status only applies when Infor SCM Scheduler is installed and is used to inform you that the production order was scheduled.
  • Printed

    The operation status is Planned or Blocked. The order documents were printed for the production order.
  • Released

    The operation status is Planned, Ready to Start, Started. or Blocked. Production has started and warehousing orders for materials and end items are present.
  • Active

    The operation status can be Planned, Ready to Start, Started, Active, Completed, or Blocked. Work on the production order has started. At least one financial transaction ( man hours or machine hours) was posted.
  • Production Completed

    The operation status is Completed or Blocked. The order is reported as completed. The inventory is updated with the completed ( end item) products. This status only applies if end items are still in the inbound procedure.
  • Completed

    The operation status is Completed or Closed. The data of the production order was moved to the archive company.
