JSC Operator Workbench (tisfc8350m000)

Use this session to record production operation setup and run times, register completed and rejected quantities and report operations complete. It is possible to view production order operation data including operation steps, instructions, materials, tools, text and related documents.

Note: 

This workbench is not suited for production orders with an order distribution.

Use the Report Orders Completed (tisfc0120s000) or Report Orders Completed Globally (tisfc0206m000) sessions for production orders with an order distribution.

Field Information

Selection
Select work centers

Select one or more work centers for the current company. Production order operation data is shown for the selected work centers.

Note: 
  • The work centers have to be defined in Work Centers (tirou0101m000) session for selection to be possible.

  • The work center the logged in employee is related to as defined in Employees - General (tccom0101m000) session is selected by default.

Select a planned production start date/time

Select the date and start up time for which you want to view the production order operations to be executed. Only the orders with Ready to Start, Started, Active and Blocked as the status are shown.

Note: 
  • Production order operations up to and including the selected date and time are shown.

  • Production order operations for which the hours have been backflushed already are not shown.

Operator Selection
Select the operator

The operator is selected from a list of employees as defined in Employees - General (tccom0101m000) session. The selected employee must have the department set to type Work Center.

Note: 
  • The employee must be defined in the Employees - People (bpmdm0101m000) session.

  • All changes in time recording for the production order processes will be logged to the selected operator.

  • The registration of quantities is independent of the selected operator, LN does not register which operator enters the quantities or completes the operation.

Actions
Setup time recording

The setup time is recorded for the selected operator.

To setup time recording:

  • Click the Setup button to start recording.
  • Time recording ends when the Stop or Run buttons are clicked.
  • To resume time recording select the operation for which the recording is to be started and click the Setup button.

It is possible to record setup time for multiple operators on one operation. This is accomplished by changing operator in the Operation Selection pane before clicking Setup on an operation with a stopped time recording.

The setup time is registered in the Production Order Hours (bptmm1120m000) session.

Note: 

  • The Split Hours in Setup and Production parameter must be selected in the Production Order Parameters (tisfc0500m000) session.
  • The Report Labor Hours parameters is not selected for the production order operation for which the time recording is set up.
  • The selected production order operation can not be fully Blocked. The operation is fully blocked when the blocking reasons indicate that the operation cannot be reported complete; no quantities can be reported complete or reported rejected.
Run time recording

Clicking the Run button starts the recording of run time for a selected operation and operator.

To start a run time recording:

  • Click the Run button in the Action pane.
  • To stop recording click the Stop button.
  • To resume recording click the Run button after selecting the operation for which the recording is to be resumed.

It is possible to record run time for multiple operators on one operation. This is accomplished by changing operator in the Operation Selection pane before clicking Run on an operation with a stopped time recording.

The run time is registered in the Production Order Hours (bptmm1120m000) session.

Run time is registered in the same way as setup time, except for the field Setup Time. For run time the field Setup Time has the value No.

Note: 
  • The Report Labor Hours parameters is not selected for the production order operation for which the time recording is set up.
  • The selected production order operation can not be fully Blocked. The operation is fully blocked when the blocking reasons indicate that the operation cannot be reported complete; no quantities can be reported complete or reported rejected.
Stop time recording

The set up time and run time recording are stopped when the user clicks the Stop button.

The following fields ar updated in Production Order Hours (bptmm1120m000) session when time recording is stopped:

  • End Date
  • Transaction Date
  • Transaction Status
  • Unit
  • Labor Time
  • Machine Time
  • Percentage Completed
Note: 

The time recording is stopped only for the selected operator. Time recording for other operators will go on unless specifically selected and stopped separately.

All time recording for an operation is automatically stopped when the operation is completed.

Registering quantities

The Register Quantities button allows the operator to register completed quantities and rejected quantities for the selected operation.

Quantities can be registered as:

  • Additionally Completed
  • Additionally Rejected
  • Cumulatively Completed
  • Cumulatively Rejected

All of the quantity fields can be defaulted by clicking the Default button. The process is the same as in the Report Operations Completed (tisfc0130m000) session.

It is possible to enter a reason in the Reject Reason field. The reason must can be selected from the Reasons (tcmcs0105m000) session.

Note: It is not possible to enter a reject reason when the Use Reason Codes for Rejected Items is set to Never in the Production Order Parameters (tisfc0100s000) session.
Completing operation

By selecting an operation and clicking the Complete operation button. Quantities must be recorded in the same way as when using Register Quantities. The status of the operation becomes Completed.

Note: Completing the operation stops all time recording for all operators.
Note: 

When operations are reported complete, hours and materials are backflushed when applicable. This works the same way as the Report Operations Completed (tisfc0130m000) session.

The materials/hours are only backflushed when the Backflushing Method field is set to Automatic. The value Interactive is not supported by the workbench.

Backflushing must be done with Backflush Materials and Hours (tisfc0220m000) when the parameter is set to Interactive or Manual.

Operations
Status

This field doesn't show the actual status but a symbol signifying one of the following actions:

  • Operation not started.
  • Setup - In process
  • Production - In process
  • Operation Completed
.

The Operations pane contains a number of columns. The columns can be reordered to the preference of the operator. The data shown is from Production Order Operations.

View Operations

The operations from the selected work centers up to and including the selected planned production start are shown. The pane only shows operations for released production orders.

Allowed values

The operations must have one of the following statuses:

  • Ready to Start
  • Started
  • Active
  • Blocked

Operators who recorded time

Shows the operators who have recorded time for the specific operation. A blue pawn indicated the current selected operator, grey pawns indicate other operators.

Recording run time and/or setup time indicator

This indicator marks when time is being recorded in the form of a clock appearing in the column. The blue color indicates that the record applies to the current operator and the grey to all other operators.

Planned Production Start

The planned production start date and time of the operation.

Note: The format of the dates depends on the regional settings on the user's PC.
Task

The task to be executed for the operation. The task code and description can be viewed.

When task related text is present an information icon indicates it's presence in the same column.

Item

Description and item code of the item to be produced.

Planned

The planned output quantity.

Completed

The quantity that has been reported as completed.

Rejected

The quantity that has been reported as rejected.

Unit

The unit in which the quantities are expressed.

Note: This is the inventory unit of the item.
Production Order

The production order.

When production order related text is present an information icon indicates it's presence in the same column.

Operation

The operation number.

When operation related text is present an information icon indicates it's presence in the same column.

Next Operation

The operation to be executed after the current operation.

Actual Production Start

The date and time actual production stared.

Note: The format of the dates depends on the regional settings on the user's PC.
Remaining Production Time

The remaining production time in hours.

Note: The hours unit as defined in People Parameters (bpmdm0100m000) is shown in the column header.
Work Center

The work center where the operation is executed. Both the work center code and description are shown.

Machine

The machine on which the operation is executed. Both machine code and description are shown.

Operation Steps and Instructions

This pane shows the operation steps and instruction by operation step for the selected operation.

The following columns are present:

  • Step

    The operation step.
  • Description

    The description of the operation step. The presence of additional operation step text is indicated by an information icon in the same column.

When there are instructions for the operation steps, then this is indicated by a plus (+) sign in the column in front on the step.

The instruction list expands when the plus is clicked to show the instruction code and description of the instructions. It is possible to order, sort and filter the columns.

Materials

The pane shows the materials that are needed for the selected operation.

  • Net Quantity
  • Estimated Quantity

Tools
.

The tools pane shows the tools need for the selected operation.

  • Sequence

The text pane shows text that s attached to a production order, operation, task or operation step.

Note: 

The pane appears when the information icon on any of the columns is clicked.

Workspace Content Assistant

The JSC Operator Workbench (tisfc8350m000) only runs in Infor Ming.le. The Infor Ming.le-LN Plug-in has a Content Assistant which displays in-context information.

The following content is shown when selecting an operation:

  • Content attached to the production order
  • Content attached to the operation
  • Content attached to the item of the operation

The following content is shown when selecting an operation step:

  • Content attached to the production order
  • Content attached to the operation
  • Content attached to the item of the operation

The following content is shown when selecting a material:

  • Content attached to the production order

Columns grouping

The panes of the workbench can contain columns which can be ordered, sorted, filtered and grouped to the requirements of the user.

  • Ordering

    The column order can be changed by dragging the column to another position.
  • Sorting

    Sorting the columns is done by clicking one or more times on the column header. It is possible to sort more than one column by holding down the SHIFT-key while clicking on another column header before sorting.
  • Filtering

    A filter can be applied to most of the columns. Setting the filter is done by clicking on the funnel icon in the head of the column.
  • Grouping

    It is possible to Group by by dragging the column header to the bar above the grid which contains the text Drag a column header and drop it here to group by that column. It is possible to group by more than one column.
  • Frozen columns

    When data is shown in the columns a bar appears on the left side of the grid. This is the Frozen column separator, when dragged on to the grid all columns to the left of it are frozen in position.
  • Docking panes

    A pane can be docked in a different position from it's default by dragging the title bar of the pane. A docking compass indicates where the pane can be placed, and a shadow indicates where the pane will be placed when releasing it.
  • Pin/Unpin (auto hiding) panes

    A pinned pane is unpinned by clicking on the pin icon in the top right corner of the pane. The pane will disappear and only a tab with the pane title will be left visible. The pane will reappear on mouse-over.
  • Closing a pane

    A pane is closed by clicking the x-icon located in the top right corner of the pane. This option is only available for the text pane.

The layout of the workbench can be saved by selecting the option Save Defaults in the settings menu located in the top right corner.

The following will be saved:

  • The position of the panes
  • The column ordering of all grids
  • The column sorting of all grids
  • The position of the frozen column separator

The layout is saved for the current company and user in the Session Personalizations (ttadv9100m000) session.

The workbench always starts with the saved layout. Switching between defaults is possible by selecting the Get Defaults and retrieving a saved layout. By selecting Clear Defaults a saved layout is switched to the original layout of the workbench.
