Schedule Viewer (tisch8350m000)

Use this session to display the workload of the machines in a critical machine group. You can access this viewer using these options in the Job Shop Schedule Runs (tisch1100m000) session:

  • Analyze Input Schedule: Displays the Input (snapshot) data.
  • Analyze Output Schedule: Displays Output (result of the selected scheduler run) data.

The Schedule Viewer consists of three sections:

  • Header: This section displays the key performance indicators for the selected time frame.
  • Grid: This section displays the available capacity and utilization of the machines in the critical machine capacity groups.
  • Gantt chart: This chart displays the machine operations with the corresponding status.

Schedule Viewer Header

The header of the Schedule Viewer (tisch8350m000) displays information over the selected run, key performance indicators and predicted order completion.

The top of the header section displays:

  • Title
Shows run number, indicates if the Input or Output data is displayed and the site and plan group.
  • Time Scale
You can for the Gantt chart to display one, two or four weeks.
  • User Settings
    Opens the User Settings session.
Note: The scheduler only operates on production orders with one or more operations with a start date between the scheduler Time Fence and the Horizon.
Key performance indicators (Time Frame)
For the selected time frame, these KPIs are displayed:
  • Average Lateness: The lateness of an order is defined as the time difference between the due date and planned finish date, expressed in days. The average lateness is the total number of late days divided by the number of orders. This value is expressed in days (1 decimal).
  • Predicted Orders On Time: The numbers of orders that are on time or early, divided by the total number of orders. This value is expressed in percentage.
  • Average Bottleneck Utilization: The sum of the utilizations of the machines divided by the number of machines. This value is expressed in percentage.
  • Number of Orders: The total number of the production orders with the status, Created, Printed, Released, or Active, and within the time frame of the scheduler run.
  • Number of Operations: The total number of machine operations linked to the production orders that are defined within the time frame. Infor LN considers these as one machine operation:
    • An order operation without machine operations.
    • An order without operations.
  • Number of conflicting operations: The objective of scheduling is to minimize problems on the production floor but it may not be possible to resolve all conflicts. The number of conflicts indicate the feasibility of the schedule.
Predicted Order Completion Graph
This is a graphical representation for the distribution of the early or late orders.

Schedule Viewer Grid section

The Grid section of the Schedule Viewer (tisch8350m000) displays the available capacity and utilization of the machines in the critical machine capacity groups.

Each line in the viewer represents one machine.

Machines are grouped under theirmachine capacity group. By default all capacity groups are expanded when the view is loaded, you can collapse specific groups by clicking on the headers:

Location

Displays the structure of:

  • The applicable work centers.
  • The critical machine capacity groups in the work centers.
  • The machines in the machine capacity groups.
Capacity (Time Frame)
Displays the available machine capacity within the time frame. The available hours are the working hours as defined in the calendar of the applicable work center, minus the applicable time-out defined on the machine. This value is expressed in Hours.
Utilization (Time Frame)
The quotient of the active, scheduled and completed machine hours in the scheduling time frame divided by the available machine hours in the scheduling time frame. This value is expressed in percentage.

Schedule Viewer Gantt section

The Gantt section of the Schedule Viewer (tisch8350m000) displays machine operations for critical machine capacity groups within a selected plan group, with their status. The available and unavailable hours are indicated by different colors.

Note: You can customize the color for the available and unavailable hours in the User Settings.

The operations are displayed in the form of bars and the color of the bar indicates the status of the related order. The status can be:

  • Created: The order is new.
  • Scheduled: The order has been scheduled earlier.
  • Released: The order is released, and some operations may be in progress.
  • Completed: The machine operation is completed.
Note: You can customize the color for each status in the User Settings.

The padlock (padlock) is displayed on the operation bar to indicate that the machine operation is locked in place by the planner. The ! (exclamation mark) is displayed on the operation bar to indicate that conflicts exist for the operation.

You can rest the pointer on an operation bar to view the related details in the tooltip. This information is displayed in the tooltip:

  • Status
  • Order code
  • Item code
  • Quantity
  • Planned Finish Time
  • Required Time
Messages
The message bar indicates if errors, warnings or information messages are present. Clicking on the bar shows the list of messages.

Schedule Viewer User Settings

In the User Settings, you can configure the display settings for the Gantt section.

To access the user settings, use the User Settings option from the Settings menu.

You can set these values:

Activity Block Description
The entity that must be displayed on the Activity Block when you rest the pointer on an operation bar. Possible values:
  • Item
  • Order

You can also select both entities.

Time Scale
The time scale for the Gantt. Possible values:
  • 1 Week
  • 2 Weeks
  • 4 Weeks
Available
The color in which the available hours are displayed in the Gantt.
Non-Available
The color in which the non-available hours are displayed in the Gantt.
Status
The color in which the status of the order is displayed in the Gantt.
