Job Shop Master Data Parameters (tirou0100m000)

Use this session to:

  • View historical parameter settings in the overview session.
  • Modify current parameter settings in the details session.

Field Information

Effective Date

The date and time that the parameters were changed. The parameters are valid up to the effective date of a more recent parameter setting. The current set has no effective date.

Description

The description of the parameter set. The default is the description of the previous parameter set, so to avoid confusion you must always delete this and add a new text.

Routing Details
Default Routing

The default routing in this field is selected by LN if:

  • The routing is independent of the order quantity.
  • No routing is defined for the required quantity.

Default Job Shop Routing

The default routing for the specified site. This routing is selected by LN if:

  • The routing is independent of the order quantity.
  • No routing is defined for the required quantity.
Production Rate Time Unit

The unit of time in which the production rate is expressed.

Use Production Rates

LN uses either an item's cycle time or the production rate to calculate the operation time. Depending on the value of this parameter, LN selects the value of the Cycle Time field or the Production Rate field (for example, in the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session).

If this check box is selected, the value of the Production Rate field in the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session is used to calculate the operation time.

If this check box is cleared, the value of the Cycle Time field in the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) is used to calculate the operation time. The Production Rate field in the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) session is disabled.

Scrap Quantity and Yield

If this check box is selected, you can define the scrap quantity and the yield on operation level.

If this check box is cleared, there is no scrap and yield defined on operation level. This means that for each operation: scrap = 0 yield = 100

Update Tools and Process Variables

If this check box is selected, you can manage the tools and process variable for this routing.

Allow Parallel Operations in Routing

If this check box is selected, you can define network routings. A network routing has parallel operations.

If this check box is cleared, the Next fields in the Routing Operations (tirou1102m000) and Generic Routing (tipcf3120m000) sessions are hidden.

Allow Assembly Warehouses in Job Shop

If this check box is selected, shop floor warehouses used at job shop work centers can simultaneously be used for assembly line stations.

Use Site-specific Reference Operations Only

If this check box is selected, only reference designator linked to the site are used.

Use Shared Work Centers

If this check box is selected, shared work centers can be used on the specified site.

Transfer Batch Method

For efficiency reasons, it can be necessary to start work on a routing operation before the preceding operation is finished. The time you can start work on the operation is determined by the amount of items that is already finished on the preceding operation. This amount can be expressed in terms of an item quantity (transfer batch quantity), or as a percentage of items (transfer batch percentage).

The selected transfer batch method, Quantity or Percentage, determines whether you have to deal with a transfer batch quantity or a transfer batch percentage. You can define or display transfer batch quantities/percentages in the following sessions:

  • Routing Operations (tirou1102m000)
  • Task Relationships (tirou0104m000)
  • Configurable Item - Structure (tipcf3100m100), in the details session of the generic routing.
  • Report Operations Completed (tisfc0130m000) details
  • Production Planning (tisfc0110m000) details

Allowed values

Quantity

A routing operation is started when a specific quantity of items is finished on the preceding operation.

Percentage

A routing operation is started when a specific percentage of items is finished on the preceding operation.

Job Shop Production Schedules
Perc Setup Time for Rate Calculation

This field is used in the rate calculation for repetitive items. This field provides the percentage of the setup time of an operation that must be subtracted from the basic day capacity to calculate the number of hours available for production.

Kanban Details
Label Layout

If you use Kanban labels to trigger supply on the job shop, the label layout entered in this field determines the format of the labels.

You can define the use of kanban labels in the Print Kanban Labels (tirou2402m000) session.

Job Shop BOM
BOM Number Group

The number group used for the specified Bill of Material and site combination.

Note: Does not apply when the Job Shop by Site parameter in the Concept Activation (tcemm4600m000) session is not Active.
BOM Order Series

The number series used for the specified bill of material.

Note: Does not apply when the Job Shop by Site parameter in the Concept Activation (tcemm4600m000) session is not Active.
Allow Multiple Job Shop BOMs per Item and Site

If this check box is selected, multiple bills of material for the same item can be used for manufacture on the same site.

Note: Does not apply when the Job Shop by Site parameter in the Concept Activation (tcemm4600m000) session is not Active.
Product Structure Generation
Approve Structures Automatically

If this check box is selected, generated customized product structures (such as the job shop bill of material, the subcontracting bill of material and job shop routing) automatically get the approved status. This happens when customized product structures are generated using the Copy Standard Product Structure to Customized Structure (tipcs2230m000), Copy Customized Product Structure to Customized Structure (tipcs2231m000) and Generate (Project PCS) Structure for Sales Orders (tdsls4244m000) sessions.

Operation Step Text

If this check box is selected, a text is available.
