Copy Engineering Item to Item (tiedm1201m000)

Use this session to copy an E-item to a standard item or to a customized item.

You can copy the E-item either to an existing item, indicated by the Item Available check box, or you can define a new item. LN automatically selects the revision of the selected E-item with the status Approved by Production.

When you define a new item, LN derives the default data from the E-item data, not from the item defaults. When you copy to an existing item, it must be of the same item type. For example, a purchased E-item must be copied to a purchased item.

Field Information

Engineering Item: Select the E-item that you want to copy to a production item. Note that you copy a specific revision.
Description: The name of the E-item, to be copied to a production item. Note that you copy a specific revision.
Engineering Item Revision: LN will automatically select the revision of the selected E-item with the status Approved by Production.
Item: The production item to which you want to copy the revision. This production item does not have to already exist.
Description: The name of production item to which you want to copy the revision. It does not have to already exist.
Item Type: The item type of the target item. If the target item already exists, it must be of the same type as the source E-item revision.
Item Group: The target item group. This group must already exist.
Item Available: If this check box is selected, the target item already exists.
Attached Documents: If this check box is selected, the attached documents will also be copied.
