Items - Forecasting (tiapl5101m000)

Use this session to view and maintain the assembly items used for forecasting.
Note: The session can be accessed only if the Forecasting check box is selected in the Assembly Planning Parameters (tiapl0100s000) session.

Field Information

Forecast Item

The code of the forecast item.

Note: 
  • You can select an item for which in the Item Defaults (tcibd0502m000) session:
    • The Item Type is set to Product.
    • The order system field is set to FAS.
    • The Configurable check box is selected.
  • If the Forecast Item Type field is set to Product, this item can be considered for the Configurable Item - Assembly Line (tiapl2100s000) session.
  • The Forecast Item Type must be set to Product.
Forecast Item Type

The item type used for forecasting. In this session, the forecast item of the type Product is only used.

Unit of Measure

The unit in which the quantity of the item is expressed.

Site

The site where the item is produced or used as a material.

Warehouse

The code of the warehouse.

Assembly Line

The code of the assembly line.

Planner

The employee responsible for planning.

Forecast

Indicates if the item can be used for forecasting.

Forecast Time Fence

The time fence used for forecasting. The time fence is expressed in weeks.

Days

The time line applicable for forecast. This date is calculated based on the value specified in the Forecast Time Fence field.

Order Horizon

The horizon in which the planning of the planned order is performed.

Days

The time line applicable for order horizon. The date is calculated based on the value specified in the Order Horizon field.

Forecast Horizon

The horizon in which the forecast can be specified.

Note: The value in this field must be greater than or equal to the value specified in Order Horizon.
Days

The time line applicable for forecast horizon. The date is calculated based on the value specified in the Forecast Horizon field.

Backward Forecast Consumption

The number of days in which the forecast is consumed backwards in time.

Forward Forecast Consumption

The number of days in which the forecast is consumed ahead of time.

Forecast Input

The level in the forecast structure where the forecast quantities can be specified and maintained.

  • By default, this field is set to Product.
  • These options are applicable only if the Families check box is selected in the Assembly Planning Parameters (tiapl0100s000) session.
    • Family Level 1
    • Family Level 2

  • This field can be set to Model only if the Base Models check box is cleared in the Product Configuration Parameters (tipcf0100m000) session.
