Viewing Line Station Variant -Assembly Parts

LSVs contain the identical operations and materials used at a specific line station for multiple assembly orders, and these operations and materials are only stored once, rather than for individual assembly orders. When LSVs are used, less data storage is required and system performance is enhanced.

If you want to change an LSV, you must link it to a particular assembly order, because you can only change assembly parts of order-specific LSVs. However, sometimes the changes cannot be processed automatically. If so, LN prompts a message to warn you that you must take manual action to ensure that the changes are communicated to the source warehouse or the supplier. This problem occurs if the current date falls in the frozen time fence of the KIT of the part in question. In other words: If the current date is after the planned start date of the LSO minus the frozen time fence of the KIT. Because the frozen time fence is defined on the KIT, and KITS are only used in SILS supply, this problem can only occur if the supply system of the part is order-controlled SILS.

Select Operations from the appropriate menu to see the operations that are associated with the LSV.

Note:
  • You cannot add or modify LSV-Assembly Parts for an Order Specific Line Station Variant if the Assembly Parts for the Line Station Order are already backflushed.
  • The supply data is also shown. Supply data is derived from the Warehousing package. You can alter the supply data in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session.
  • When the Process Engineering Quantity or Product Engineering Quantity is modified, the Build Assembly Part Allocation process is executed automatically.
