Defining Assembly Control Parameters

Note: Note that changing parameters can have widespread effects throughout Assembly Control, and, therefore, you must not alter any value in this session until you know what the effects will be.

For details about the individual parameters, see the field help.

You must define the number group and series for the following elements used in assembly control:

  • Orders
  • Clustered line-station orders
  • Line station variants
  • Reference number

The four number groups and series must differ from each other.

You must select a number group that is dedicated to Production in the ERP Number Groups (tcmcs0151m000) session.

If you make the required changes and save the new parameter set, LN performs the following actions:

  • Adds the new set to the history list.
  • Updates the current set (at the top of the list).

You can use the Print Assembly Control Parameters (tiasc0400m000) session to print and compare the parameter settings. You can start this session from the File menu.

Note: You can start the Bucket Definition (tiasl1100m000) session from the appropriate menu. The value you enter in the Allocation Horizon field of the details session determines the number of days that buckets are generated for.
