Replacing outdated materials and designating use-up materials in JSBOMs

This topic describes how to replace an outdated material with a replacement material in a job shop bill of material (BOM) and specify the outdated material as a use-up material.

Note: 

If you use Engineering Data Management to control changes in a BOM, this procedure does not apply.

  1. Start the Job Shop List of Material (tibom3610m000) session
    Specify the site, Product, bill of material and revision for which you want to replace the material.
  2. Specify the material from the previous bill of material revision which you want to replace.
  3. On the Alternative Materials tab, Insert BOM line

    The BOM line must have the same BOM position number as the outdated component
