Yearly Rates (tffam7165m000)

Use this session to create, edit, or view new yearly rates which allow you to define custom depreciation methods. You can activate this session only from the Depreciation Method (tffam7110s000) session.

The Yearly Rates button is available, if the following conditions are met:

  • The Avg. Convention field is Modified Half Year, MidQuarter, Half Year, or None.
  • The Rate Table Type field is Yearly.

The class life field from the Depreciation Method (tffam7110s000) session is used to automatically fill in the Yearly Rates table with zero (0) values for the corresponding number of years.

You can switch from a monthly rate to a yearly rate for a depreciation method as long as the method is not in use. Once the depreciation method is assigned to an asset book, the yearly rates can be viewed but not edited. The combined value of the yearly rate fields cannot be greater than 100%.

If the MidQuarter Convention is selected from the Depreciation Method (tffam7110s000) session, the rates must be defined for each of the four quarters. If Modified Half Year convention is selected from the Depreciation Method (tffam7110s000) session, rates must be defined for each of the two periods.
