Updating a table sharing configuration to the next package combination

If a multicompany environment is upgraded to a next package combination, the table sharing configuration must also be updated.

If your LN installation resides on a tenant in a multicompany cloud environment, you must manually upgrade your table sharing configuration before you upgrade the companies to the next package combination. This is to ensure that all table sharing requirements of the new functionality are included in the upgraded table sharing configuration.

The manual upgrade procedure includes these steps:

  1. Manually importing predefined table sets. See To import predefined table sharing data.
  2. Manually initiating the generation of table sharing sets based on the package combinations. See the Online Help of the Table Sharing Sets (tltsm1115m000) session for details.
  3. Setting the table sharing set to Active in Next Package Combination.

This means that the table sets of the table sharing set are copied to a new version and linked to the next package combination. After verification and, if required, correction, the table sharing set is approved and set to Active in Next Package Combination. See the Online Help of the Table Sharing Sets (tltsm1115m000) session for details.
