Net-change phase number computation

The value of the Run Type field in the Compute Phase Numbers (cprpd6200m000) session determines whether a regenerative computation or a net-change computation is carried out.

In a regenerative computation, each plan item's phase number is recomputed. In a net-change computation, not every plan item is recomputed.

A net-change computation uses the following fields in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session:

• Master Phase Number Parent
• Order Phase Number Parent

When a new BOM line, BCM line, or supplying relationship is generated, LN automatically updates these fields with the phase number of the plan item's parent.

When you carry out a net-change computation, LN compares the plan item's current phase number with the parent phase numbers stored in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session. A plan item's phase number is recomputed only if the plan item's current phase number is less than or equal to the parent phase number.
