Activation of the Extended Tax Configuration functionality using Workbench
Activation workbench must be used to set the Extended Tax Configuration field in the Tax Parameter (tctax0100m000) session. Infor LN synchronizes the status for all companies with tax parameter data.
Based on the setting of the Extended Tax Configuration field, the name of the Tax Handling (tctax0138m000) session changes dynamically.
The Extended Tax Configuration field can be set to:
- Inactive: The Tax Handling (tctax0138m000) session is used for tax defaulting.
- In Preparation: The Tax Handling (tctax0138m000) session is used for tax defaulting. However, Tax Handling - In Preparation (tctax0135m000) session is used for data set up. Also, additional new parameters are available to set up the master data.
- Active: The Tax Handling - In Active (tctax0135m000) session is used for tax defaulting.
When the Extended Tax Configuration field is set to In Preparation, Infor LN allows the upgrade from the Tax Handling (tctax0138m000) session to the Tax Handling - In Preparation (tctax0135m000) session. If the Goods and Service Categories checkbox is selected in the Tax Parameter (tctax0100m000) session, you can define goods and service category, which can be used to map LN attributes such as item, item group and so on. Additionally, goods and service category can be used for tax code defaulting.
When the Extended Tax Configuration field is set to Active, Infor LN checks and displays a message, if Tax Handling - In Active (tctax0135m000) session has no defaults set up for countries defined in the Tax Handling (tctax0138m000) session, for every financial company.
