Boycotts and embargoes compliance checks

Boycotts and embargoes compliance checks are applicable to the sales and purchase orders when the orders are created or updated. The checks are also applicable to shipments, receipts and return orders. The existing checks such as trade compliance, letter or credit and bank guarantee are extended with the boycotts and embargoes compliance checks.

Simulating boycotts and embargoes compliance checks

You can use these sessions to check if embargoes or boycotts are applicable for a transaction:

  • Simulate Outbound Embargo and Boycott Compliance Checks (tcgtc1201m000)
  • Simulate Inbound Embargo and Boycott Compliance Checks (tcgtc1201m100)

In these sessions you can specify values such as business partner, trade type and item. Infor LN performs a search based on the specified values when you click Simulate.

Note: Infor LN considers only the boycotts and embargoes that are active.

The results are displayed in the session and for the detailed results, you can generate a report using the View Results option.

Running boycotts and embargoes compliance checks

Boycotts and embargoes can be run using the Embargo and Boycott Run (tcgtc2680m000) session. In this session you can:

  • Specify the range of boycotts and embargoes. Infor LN considers only the boycotts and embargoes that are active.
  • Select the trade types.
  • Select the Run Type.
  • Select to run the process in simulate mode.

You can use the Process option to run the compliance checks based on the data specified. If the Run Type field is set to:

  • Block
  • Unblock
  • Block/Unblock

The check results consist of the list of documents that are blocked or unblocked based on the selected boycotts and embargoes and the list is displayed in the Embargo and Boycott Run Results (tcgtc2581m000) session. Infor LN updates the Run Date and the Run By fields in the Embargo and Boycott Run (tcgtc2680m000) session.

Note: If you clear the Simulate check box and click Process, Infor LN:
  • Performs the compliance checks again and blocks/unblocks the documents.
  • Selects the Processed check box.
  • Updates the Run Date and the Run By fields.
