Creating boycotts and boycott lines
Boycotts can be defined in the Boycotts (tcgtc0185m000)/Boycott (tcgtc0685m000) session.
When you create a boycott, you must:
- Link the Organization, that initiated the boycott.
- Select the trade types (import/export/domestic inbound/domestic outbound) for which the boycott is applicable.
- Set the priority of the boycott.
For a boycott, you can define:
- The boycott lines in the Boycott Lines (tcgtc0186m000)/Boycott Line (tcgtc0686m000) session, to specify the countries or the country set to which the selected boycott is applicable.
- The boycott item lines in the Boycott Item Lines (tcgtc0187m000) session to specify the items, item groups or HS codes to which the selected boycott is applicable.
- The boycott line exceptions in the Boycott Line Exceptions (tcgtc0188m000) session, to specify the one or more countries that can be excluded from the check during export.
- Boycott lines are date effective.
- You cannot create more than one boycott line with the same trade type, range of countries/country set and effective period, for an active boycott.
The status of the newly created boycott is set to Free. When you use the option, Infor LN sets status of the boycott to Active. You can also set the linked boycott lines to Active using the option for the line. Infor LN selects the Active check box for the line.
When you use the option for:
- An active boycott, Infor LN updates the boycott status to Free.
- An active boycott line, Infor LN clears the Active check box of the line.
If a boycott is not applicable, you can use the option, Infor LN updates the boycott status to Closed. For a closed boycott, you can use the option to update the boycott status to Free.
For an import or export boycott line, you can select a set of items, item groups or HS codes to be included or excluded from the boycott, using these options:
