Backflushing and People

Backflushing is used to calculate the labor cost spent on a production order or assembly order, if the employee linked to the order is not relevant. The employee code is defined by work center in the Work Centers (tirou0101m000) session and is only used to backflush the labor costs to the Estimated vs. Actual Hours Costs (ticst0502m000) session.

You can backflush hours for:

  • Production orders
  • Assembly orders
  • Clustered line station orders

When a production order or one of its operations is completed, the labor cost is calculated in People and then automatically booked to Manufacturing and Financials. Backflushed hours can be recognized in People because the production order lines in the Production Order Hours (bptmm1120m000) session have already been approved and processed. Once an assembly order is finished, the hours for that order will also be sent to People to calculate the labor and machine costs. This automatic process is triggered by the assembly order or clustered line station order status Completed.

Note:

The labor type for backflushing originates from the following sessions:

  • Assembly Control Parameters (tiasc0100m000)
  • Production Order Parameters (tisfc0100s000)
