Components by Patch Code (ttiex4110m000)
Use this session to define the components for a patch.
A patch is a collection of components, such as domains, sessions, forms, reports and labels.
Before you can link components to a patch, you must define a patch code in the Patch Codes (ttiex4100m000) session.
To link software components to a patch:
- click to add the desired components one by one, or
- select on the menu to add a range of components.
When you have defined all the components that belong to a patch, select Patch Codes (ttiex4100m000) session:
on the appropriate menu to generate the patch file. The following components are stored in the path that you specified in the- a patch file. This is a compressed file that contains the patch's components. The recipient of the patch must import this file through the Import Patch (ttiex1284m000) session. The name of the patch file is identical to the patch code. However, the file name is in lower case, while patch codes are always in upper case.
- A content list that contains the names of the exported components. The name of this file is "<patch file name>.content".

The package to which the software component belongs.
- Component Code

The code of the component you want to include in this patch. You can zoom to select the desired component.

This check box indicates whether a text is present for the selected component. To create a text for a patch component, select the component and click
. - Languages

If the component is a language-dependent application part, for example a label, or a message, you must specify for which language(s) the component must be included in the patch.
