Patch Codes (ttiex4100m000)
Use this session to define patch codes. A patch is a collection of components, such as sessions, forms and program scripts.
After you create a patch code, you can define the components for the patch in the session.
The session dialog contains two form tabs: General Data and Statistics.
General data
In this tab you must specify the basic properties for the patch, such as:
- Patch code
- The VRC to which the patch's components belong
- Optional: the target package VRC into which the patch's components must be imported.
- The path where the patch file must be generated
See the field help for more details.
After you create a patch code, you can define the components for the patch in the session. You can start this session from the
menu in the session.Statistics
This tab displays the following statistical information for the patch:
- The date and time when the patch file was generated.
- Per component type, the number of components that are included in the patch.
- The total number of components in the patch.
- A patch file must be distributed to the relevant recipients/customers. You can, for example, place the patch file on a web site, so that the recipients can download it.
- Recipients of patches, for example customers, must import their patches through the session.
-
Do not use this session to create patches that must be imported through the Product Maintenance and Control (PMC) module. To create PMC solutions, use the and sessions.
For details on PMC, see:
- PMC recipient procedure (OP)
- PMC distributor procedure (OP)
