Convert Table and Index Repository (ttdba0540m000)

Use this session to view the RDBMSs for which you can optimize the table and index storage. This session converts the [RDBMS]_storage file to the runtime data dictionary. During the conversion process the [RDBMS]_storage file is split up into two separate files:

  1. The storage parameter file, [RDBMS]_storage_param
  2. The database driver parameter file, [RDBMS]_driver_param

You can maintain these two files in the Storage Parameters Optimization (ttdba0132m000) session and the Driver Parameters Optimization (ttdba0137m000) session. Splitting up the [RDBMS]_storage file improves the interaction between Tools and the database. For example, the time required to run a query is reduced.

Caution:
The information in the Table and Index repository affects the data transfer to the database. Ensure not to corrupt the data transfer by storing incorrect information in the repository.

Select a RDBMS in the grid and then, on the appropriate menu, select Convert Repository to start the conversion process.

Note: The [RDBMS]_storage file is not deleted but will not be used anymore when the [RDBMS]_storage_param file and the [RDBMS]_driver_param are created.
