Purge Entire Package VRC (ttadv6255m000)
Use this session to purge a package VRC that is not used anymore by changing its status to expired. It is only possible to purge a package VRC if only one Package VRC is derived from it. Unchanged software components are copied to the package VRC derived from the one which is being purged, then all the software components are deleted from the PVRC which is being purged.
You can purge a package VRC for the following reasons:
- to reduce the disk space that is used.
- to speed up searching for software components of previous package VRCs.
- The maximum depth of the package VRC tree is 40. Purging a package VRC reduces the depth of the package VRC tree, which makes it possible to add a new package VRC to the tree.
