Component Rename List (ttadv5505m000)

Use this session to have an overview of all components to be renamed. The components in the rename list can be generated and target components can be modified or removed. Components can also be added manually.

This session can be started from the Copy and Rename 4GL Components Set (ttadv5500m100) session.

Actions menu

These options are available on the Actions menu:

  • Generate List : Generates the component rename list based on the data in the Copy and Rename 4GL Components Set (ttadv5500m100) header session and the Rename Set Modules (ttadv5501m000) session.
  • Skip Components : Selects the Skip Component check box for all components in the rename list.
  • Include Components : Clears the Skip Component check box for all components in the rename list.

Field Information

Rename Set
The rename set that includes the component rename list.
Component Type
The component's component type, such as session, report, table etc.
Source Component Code
The package code of the source component.
The module code of the source component.
The description of the source component.
Target Component Code
The package code of the target component.
The module code of the target component.
The description of the target component.
Target Component already exists
Indicates whether the target component already exists.
Skip Component
If this check box is selected, the current component is skipped in the renaming process.
Rename if used in other Target Components
If this check box is selected and if the target component already exists and is also used in other target components, the component is renamed directly in the other target components.
Overwrite Target
If this check box is selected and if the target component already exists, the target component is overwritten when copying components.
Source Module related
For components that do not typically have a separate module code, such as labels, messages, questions, and domains, this field indicates whether the component is related to a module. This applies if the component code starts with an existing package and module, or an existing module.
Message
Displays additional information about the action performed on this component, for example if the component was changed manually or the action failed.
