Form Label Fields (ttadv3113s000)

Use this session to maintain label fields in a form. Labels in a form are used for language-dependent sections of text.

Enter the length and height of the label field, and enter the code of the label. If the label exists, the description is displayed. If the label does not exist, you must enter the description. The label is then inserted in the label table. You can then enter data about the alignment and print effects.

Field Information

Description

Specifies the description of the label that is set in the form at run time.

Label

The code of the label. You can create a new label in this field. To define the description that belongs to this label code, zoom in this field to invoke the Labels (ttadv1140s000) session. Use label codes where you can, to refer to table fields in the dictionary.

If you select the Align acc. to Domain check box, Tools can adjust a label according to the domain definition of the table field. For example, tiitm001.item = Item code of the table tiitm001.

Height

Specifies the number of lines that are used by the label, with a maximum of three. The height of a label is part of the key that searches for a label.

Maximum Height

Specifies the maximum height of the label field on the current form. The height depends on the available space in the form.

Length

Specifies the length of the special field in the form. The length of a special field depends on its type. If its length is not determined by the type, the maximum length depends on the available space in the form.

Allowed values

Depending on the available number of free positions in a form, the maximum number of characters allowed is 70.

Maximum Length

Specifies the maximum length of the label field on the current form. The maximum length depends on the available space in the form.

Align according to Domain

If this check box is selected, the label description is aligned according to the domain of the specified table field.

The label description in the special field is shown as:

Item Code.

Align acc. to Domain

Specifies how the label must be aligned.

Note: This is only applicable if the label is not aligned according to the domain definitions.

Not: Tools does not align the characters that you enter.
Left: Tools aligns the characters that you enter to the left of the field.
Right: Tools aligns the characters that you enter to the right of the field.
Centered: Tools centers the characters that you enter.
