VSC Replica Import Master Data (tlvsc4211m000)

Use this session to import the VSC master data on your LN development server.

Before you can use this session, you must first export the VSC master data from a different LN development server, and transfer the export file to the current server. For details, refer to the online help of the session.

You can also import VSC master data that was exported from the current development server. This is useful, for example, if you want to rename a verification code. For details, refer to the online help of the field.

Note: This session is not useful for software engineers, but is exclusively intended for the VSC administrator.

Field Information

Current System

The name of the LN development server where you perform the import.

This field is read-only.

Package Combination

The package combination that is, or will be, linked to the base verification code.

The displayed package combination is the package combination that is defined in your LN user data, or in your LN Windows client configuration (bwconfig). You can later add more package combinations to the verification code.

To create a verification code for a different package combination, you must log on with another user account, or change your user data or Windows client configuration.

Base Verification Code

The base verification code into which the master data will be imported.

You must do one of the following:

  • Select the verification code to which your package combination is linked.
  • Enter a new verification code. VSC automatically links the new verification code to your package combination.
Import file

The name of the file that contains the master data that you want to import.

Note: this file is generated through the VSC Replica Export Master Data (tlvsc4210m000) session.

Test Run

If this check box is selected, the session does not import the master data, but only prints a report that indicates which data would be imported during a real import.

If this check box is cleared, the session performs a real import.

Import Verification Code into Base Verification Code

If this check box is selected, you can select any verification code from the import file and import it into the selected base verification code.

You can use this option to rename a verification code.

For example: to rename verification code A into B:

  1. Export verification code A.
  2. Create a new verification code B.
  3. Import verification code A into the base verification code B. You must specify B in the Base Verification Code field. You can select A from the list in the Verification Code to be imported field.
