Introduction

The European NIS2 directive and the US Executive Order 14028 (EO14028) require software vendors to create Software Bills of Material (SBOMs) for their software. For many software development environments, standard tooling is available to generate an SBOM. For the Infor LN/ Baan 4GL products, specific tooling is available to generate SBOMs in the required format. This tooling is used for standard products developed within Infor. Additionally, it can be used by Infor departments and Infor partners that create add-on software for standard Infor products using the Infor LN/ Baan 4GL development environment.

Supported versions

SBOMs can be created for all product versions that use Product Maintenance and Control (PMC) to deliver the product. However, the tooling used to generate SBOMs in the required format is available starting from Infor Enterprise Server 10.8.11 (see KB3536625). While data extraction can be performed from any PMC environment, SBOM generation requires a 10.8 environment.
