To initialize shared memory
Use the
–i
option to initialize shared memory, for example:
# shmmanager6.2 –i
BUFSZ 524288, MAXATTCH 10, START 0xa40000, STEP 0x80000
Start /usr/bse/bin/shmtimer6.2:
Shmtimer started: pid = 22743, time = 790343035
(Tue Jan 17 12:43:55 1995)
Starting successful
Note: During initialization, the BSE shell variable must be the same as for
the bshell users. Rather than initializing shared memory manually each time,
you can simply include the installation in your system’s start-up procedure.
Make sure the BSE variable is set correctly before startup.
