On a Windows platform, administrators can set variables in the bse_vars file or by the Infor Management snap-in. In Windows, administrators can set any environment variable in the Enterprise Server Service Manager.

Alternatively, administrators can set system wide variables in the Environment Variables dialog box. To start this dialog box, complete these steps:

1. Right-click My Computer and, on the shortcut menu, click Properties. The System Properties dialog box is displayed.
2. Go to the Advanced tab and click Environment Variables.
