Using overlays

Overlays are used to place additional information on a document. Overlays are PDF files that are merged with the document before the document is sent. For example, to ensure that the word COPY is shown on the document when the document is sent to a local printer. If the document is sent to a customer, it must contain your corporate identity.

You can define multiple overlays for one document type. Based on the outcome of an expression, the overlay is selected. All overlays with a valid expression are merged into the document.
