Upgrading to SLM 7.5
SLM 7.5 can upgrade your current environment to the newest version with minimal effect on your environment. You can upgrade your SLM environment from any 2.x version or later.
What is changed in SLM 7.5
The named license model is changed. In the past the user name and the desktop where used to grant a license to a requester. From SLM 7.5 onwards the user name is used to grant a license to a requester. The named user license can be used from multiple desktops within fair-use limits, which is decided by an Infor-auditor. The license usage is logged in this folder: $SLMHOME/usage
An encrypted and a non encrypted form is available for audit purposes. The usage data stays on the system where it is logged and is not sent to Infor.

You can use these options to monitor the current license use. The options give an indication on the current granted licenses.
