Multiple SLM Clusters

In some instances, you want to install and configure multiple SLM Clusters because of technical reasons or if your release strategy requires various versions of SLM.

A possible technical reason is if you want to license two different Infor applications that are installed in different network zones, for example, one application on your intranet and the other in your demilitarized zone (DMZ). The preferred method to deal with this situation is to install an SLM Cluster in every network zone.

Another valid reason to install and configure multiple SLM Clusters can be your geographical distribution and the related latency in your network. You then install an SLM Cluster on each geographical location.

You must request an activation key for each SLM Cluster. Note that Infor Validation does not count the amount of logical SLM servers. Infor Validation only validates the total amount of licenses the customer requests.
