Using exact positioning
By default, a report personalization is based on the columns and lines mode. This mode has the limitation that objects can only be defined on a specific column line combination.
You can convert the current personalization into the exact positioning mode. This conversion calculates the correct position and size for each field, based on its current position and the grid definition of the report. To return to the situation before the conversion, you must reinstate an earlier version through the Report personalization History (ttadv9508m000) session.
After conversion, the report personalization is ignored when printing to devices without intermediate XML file.
Reports may contain layout logic that is defined by the application. For example, jumping to the bottom of the page when a certain layout is printed. A report with exact positioning overrules this layout logic. You can define this logic in the Layout personalization.
