Add the application

This section describes how to add the LN application to Infor OS Portal. This ensures that Infor OS authenticated users can navigate to the LN application through the Navigation Menu.

For more information about Infor OS Portal administration, refer to the Infor OS Portal Administration Guide.

As LN UI Administrator:

  1. Login to Infor LN UI Administration.
  2. Navigate to LN > Logical ID Mapping.
  3. If not available yet, specify a logical ID for the target LN environment.

As Infor OS Administrator:

  1. Sign into the Infor OS portal.
  2. From the Navigation Menu, select OS > Portal > Applications.
  3. Select Add Application.
  4. Set the Application Type to Infor Non-Provisioned.
  5. Set the Application Name to LN – 10.8.
  6. Set the Display Name to LN.
  7. Select an application icon.
  8. As Logical ID, select the logical ID configured in Infor LN UI Administration in the previous procedure
  9. As Host Name and Port, enter the details of the on-premises LN UI server address and secured HTTPS port.
  10. Keep the Use HTTPS toggle enabled.
  11. Leave Context to webui.
  12. Save.

Verify the configuration:

  1. Sign out from the portal and close the browser.
  2. Open the portal again and sign in.
  3. Use the Navigation Menu to switch to the newly added LN application.

The on-premises LN UI iFrame is displayed inside the Infor OS Portal web interface. The client PC of the user must have access to Infor OS in the cloud (internet) and the on-premises LN UI server.

If your LN UI server is only accessible from the company intranet, users who work remotely must first set up a VPN tunnel to their local company network. Otherwise, the error 404 Page not Found is displayed instead of the LN User Interface.
