Import a connection point

  1. On the Infor Customer Portal, download the latest LN - ION Connection Model from KB2945150.
  2. Extract the file and open it in a text editor.
  3. Find the value infor.erpln under the /DocumentFlows/ConnectionPoints/ConnectionPoint/ConnectorType XML path.
  4. Change this value to infor.cloud.erpln and save the file.

As ION Administrator:

  1. Login to the Infor OS portal.
  2. Use the Navigation Menu to switch to OS and then to ION.
  3. Navigate to Connect > Connection Points
  4. Click the Import button on the toolbar and import the edited XML file.
  5. A new connection point called INFOR_LN_10_[X] is created.
  6. Edit the connection point:
    1. Edit the name. The recommended name is LN_[company number].
    2. Set the location to the location you created earlier while performing the steps in Configuring ION Enterprise Connector.
    3. Verify that the Logical ID Type is set to ln.
    4. On the Connection tab, specify the values as if you were connecting to your on premises LN. The connection is provided by the Enterprise Connector that also runs on your premises.
    5. Test the connection.
    6. Save and close.
  7. If you publish BODs from and to multiple LN companies, duplicate the connection point and change its name and company number accordingly.

Connection points are not activated separately. When you activate a data flow, the associated connection points are activated.

Using connection points with data flows is not described in this guide. This is a customer-specific setup. The only data flow described in this guide is for the integration between LN and IFS to configure access to LN through Infor OS Portal.
