Configure LN UI for accessing the IFS Services

Completing the steps in this section ensures that LN and LN UI (on premises) can access the IFS Services API of Infor OS CE. The access is required to create the LN User Data Default templates in IFS master data.

As Infor OS Portal Administrator:

  1. Log in to the Infor OS Portal with a user who has the IONAPI-Administrator role.
  2. Use the Navigation Menu > OS to switch to the API Gateway application.
  3. Navigate to Available APIs and ensure that IFS Service is available. If not, contact your system administrator.
  4. Navigate to Authorized Apps.
  5. Add a new entry by clicking + Add New App.
    1. Name: LN Client for IFS Services
    2. Type: Backend Service
    3. Description: as appropriate
    4. Save
  6. Navigate to the LN Client for IFS Services and select Download Credentials.
    1. Create Service Account: yes.
    2. Associate a user. This user is impersonated each time LN writes the LN User Data Default Templates to the IFS master data. The associated user must at least have one of these IFS security roles: DataAdministrator, UserAdmin, or IFSApplicationAdmin.

If an ad hoc user is created specifically for the above purpose, we recommend that you give this user the DataAdministrator role.

    3. Download the .ionapi file.

As LN UI Administrator:

  1. Navigate to IFS Attribute/Provisioning Service.
  2. Select Upload at Import *.ionapi file for authorized app.
  3. In the Upload File dialog, select the .ionapi file downloaded earlier.
  4. Save and exit.
