Generate subcontracting models

This section is valid for LN 10.5 environments or earlier that are updated to LN 10.6 or later.

The Generate Subcontracting Models (tisub1230m000) session is required to generate new required master data based on the old setup of LN 10.5.

The Generate Subcontracting Models (tisub1230m000) session generates subcontracting models for items with the source subcontract. The generated models can be found in the Product Subcontractors List (tisub1100m000) session.

In LN 10.6 and later, subcontracting purchase orders require a subcontracting model.

Note: Subcontracting purchase orders in this context is about independent subcontracting orders, not about subcontracted operations. Up till LN 10.5, these orders used the Bill of material (tibom1110m000) session. Because this bill of material is intended for job shop production orders only, subcontracting orders require a dedicated model, being the subcontracting model, from LN 10.6 onwards.

Process

First the defined suppliers in the Approved Supplier List (tdipu0110m200) session, with the item BOM in the Bill of Material (tibom1110m000) session are collected. If no supplier is found then the defined suppliers for the item group with the item BOM, are collected. The warehouse data on the subcontracting model is retrieved from the Items - Sales Business Partner (tdisa0510m000) session. If multiple suppliers are found, then multiple models for the same product are created, one per supplier.
