Inbound BOD tracing

You can trace inbound BODs for ION bshells in the Run time debugging of bshell (ttstpbshdebug) session.

To use this functionality in an on-premises environment:

  1. Start the Run time debugging of bshell (ttstpbshdebug) session.
  2. Click the User Start Options tab.
  3. In the User field of the BOD Debug Options for ION LN User group, specify the LN user who can handle the data flow for inbound BODs in ION.
The Debug Inbound BODs check box is selected automatically.
  4. Click the Save Setting User button.
If BOD retries must also be logged, click Yes to the relevant question.
  5. Click OK in the dialog box that is displayed.
  6. In ION, reactivate the data flows that you want to log.
The ION bshells are restarted with the new settings.

Optionally, for non-production environments, the same result can be achieved by killing the configured LN user bshells from the Active Users (ttaad2560m000) session.

  7. In the Run time debugging of bshell (ttstpbshdebug) session, on the General Options tab, click Download BOD Trace to download the log files.
  8. Because the activation of inbound BOD debugging for a user places a heavy load on the system, click the Clear Setting User button to disable further tracing.

The setting is effective after reactivating the applicable data flow(s).
