Running a query (OP)

Note: The functionality to define and run stand-alone SQL queries is not available in a cloud environment.

In an on-premises environment, to run a stand-alone SQL query, complete these steps:

  1. Select a record in the session
  2. On the appropriate menu, select Run Query to run the Execute Query (ttadv3280m000) session.
  3. Click Execute to run the query. The query output depends on the output type, which you can define in the session:
    • Report list Before Tools produces a report, you must first enter a device in the Select Device (ttstpsplopen ) session.
    • Report label Tools prints the output on a label. You can print labels side by side. In that case, you can specify the width (in columns) of the label in the Columns label field, and the number of lines on the label in the Rows label field. Specify the number of labels to be printed side by side in the Labels horizontal field.
    • Chart Tools automatically starts the Chart Manager session. The query output is shown in this session.
Note: Before you run a query, you must generate a query report or add query fields to a chart. See Defining a query.
