To construct a table sharing set

A table sharing set represents a complete table sharing configuration, that you can use to actually modify the table linking situation (logical tables) of your system.

Prerequisites

Before you define a table sharing set, you must prepare the following:

  • Specify the relevant package combination(s), companies, and multicompany environments. For more information, refer to To specify relevant package combinations and companies.
  • Set up the table sets you need. For more information, refer to To construct a table set.

Procedure to construct a table sharing set

To construct a table sharing set, use the following procedure:

  1. Start the Table Sharing Sets (tltsm1115m000) session.
  2. Define a new table sharing set.
  3. Optionally, specify the table sharing set's multicompany environment.
  4. Enter the table sets in the table sharing set. For each table sharing set, you must specify the logical company that for which the tables are linked to a physical company. The package combination of the companies must match the package combination of the table set. You can also use the Copy Table Sets to Table Sharing Sets command on the Specific menu.
  5. Click Verify Shared Logical Tables . If you verified every table set separately, no new exceptions should occur. Otherwise, adapt the table sets as described in To construct a table set.
  6. In the Table Sharing Sets (tltsm1115m000) session, set the Status field to Approved . (If you need to modify the table sharing set later, you can change its status back to Draft ).
