Start Publishing (danch2213m000)

Use this session to start synchronization servers for a specified range of synchronization objects.

Session usage:

  1. Enter a range of synchronization objects.
  2. Enter the start settings: you can continue from the previous run, or start from a specified commit time. In the latter case you must enter the commit time (and a warning is given if the server ran before).
  3. Specify the bus component to be used. Default is the bus component used in the last run.
  4. Click Continue.

For all synchronization objects in the specified range, a server is started if it is Idle (it did not run before), Stopped or Interrupted. The synchronization object is checked before actually starting the server. A message is displayed to report how many servers were started successfully and, in case an error occurred, how many servers could not be started. If the specified range does not contain any synchronization object, a message is displayed to report this.

Note:
  • To start a server for a single synchronization object you can also use the Start Publishing command in the Synchronization Objects (danch2510m000) details session.
  • To make sure servers keep running, do not use this session but use the Check and Continue Servers (danch2210m000) session instead.
  • It is not possible to start a server per client. Starting will impact all clients that subscribed to the synchronization object.
