Wizard procedure

To create a wizard.

  • Start the session Wizards (tgwzr1500m000)
  • Specify a name for the wizard in the Wizard field.
  • Select the value Yes in the Mandatory field if it is compulsory that the wizard is carried out in the business function model.
  • In the Owner field, select the ERP user who created the wizard or is responsible for the wizard.
  • Click Save.

Wizards are used to set parameters and can be linked to business functions after they are defined. In the business-function model, you have these two options to carry out the wizards:

If you decide to apply the wizards, the parameter values are stored in the Valores por parámetro, compañía y modelo (tgbrg9110m000) session, which serves as a temporary buffer for the parameter values of a business model. Start the Exportar rango de valores de parámetros por compañía (tgbrg9220m000) session to export the parameter values to a company.

Specify a question text that is the actual question the user must answer. Furthermore, you can create hint text and wizard Help text, which guides the user to the correct answer.

A wizard step is created for each selected parameter. This data is set automatically when a parameter is imported:

If the parameter has a fixed value, the Sesión de zoom/exploración field is filled automatically.

If the parameter does not have a session from which you can select values, you can still use the Sesión de zoom/exploración field as long as the domain of the Campo de retorno field from the session that you have selected matches with the selected parameter.

To set more than one parameter, you cannot define a domain. In this case, you must manually define the wizard step answers in the Respuestas de fases de asistente (tgwzr2120m000) session. Use the Apply constraint to define what must be done for each possible answer.

The apply constraints are created automatically when the wizard steps are created by importing parameters. In all other cases, the constraints must be defined manually.
