| Stock Point Blocking by Transaction (whwmd6131m000)Use this session to block item quantities
stored at stock points by transaction. Item The raw materials, subassemblies, finished products, and tools
that can be purchased, stored, manufactured, and sold. An item can also represent a set of items handled as one kit,
or which exist in multiple product variants. You can also define nonphysical items, which are not
retained in inventory but can be used to post costs or to invoice services to
customers. The examples of nonphysical items: - Cost items (for example, electricity)
- Service items
- Subcontracting services
- List items (menus/options)
Warehouse A place for storing goods. For each warehouse, you can enter
address data and data relating to its type. Location A distinct place in a warehouse where goods are stored. A warehouse can be divided into locations to manage the
available space, and to locate the stored goods. Storage conditions and blocks
can be applied to individual locations. Lot A number of items produced and stored together that are
identified by a (lot) code. Lots identify goods. Inventory Date A date that is assigned to items when they are stored. You can
use inventory dates to retrieve items based on FIFO (First In First Out) or
LIFO (Last In First Out), without carrying out extensive lot control. The meaning of the inventory date is connected to the
outbound priority of LIFO, FIFO, or the product expiry date of the item. With outbound priority LIFO or FIFO, the default for the
inventory date is the system date; however, you can overwrite this so that the
inventory date does not have to be equal to the storage date. If the item has a
particular shelf life, the inventory date is the product expiry date defined
for the item. Inventory on Hand The inventory on hand quantity
of the item at the location. The quantity is expressed in the inventory unit. LN uses this quantity
to calculate the available capacity at the location. AllBlocked If this check box is selected, the location is
immediately blocked for all transactions. If this check box is cleared, the location is
immediately unblocked for all transactions. The location can, however, be
blocked for one or more transaction types. In this session,
this check box is unavailable. To (un)block stockpoints for all transactions,
use the Global Stock Point Blocking (whwmd6230m000) session. CycleCountingBlocked If this check box is selected, the stockpoint is
blocked for cycle counting. Note When the system prints cycle-counting lists, the inventory
lines printed on the counting list are automatically blocked. This automatic
blocking function prevents changes in the quantities during cycle counting.
When counting lists are processed, the inventory lines are automatically
unblocked. Transfer(Issue)Blocked If this check box is selected, the stockpoint is
blocked for transfer out of the
warehouse. Note The inventory
concerned can still be blocked for transfer at other levels (not displayed
here), for example, by blocking a zone or lot. OutboundBlocked If this check box is selected, the stockpoint is
blocked for outbound. Automatic or
manual retrieval is not possible until the blocking is lifted. Note The inventory
concerned can still be blocked for outbound movement at other levels (not
displayed here), for example, by blocking a zone or lot. AssemblyBlocked If this check box is selected, the stockpoint is blocked for
assembly. | |
