Runs (whinh4500m000)

Use this session to select or create a run number.

Runs are used in the following sessions:

  • Put Away Inbound Advice (whinh3203m000).
  • Generate Storage List (whinh3415m000).
  • Release Outbound Advice (whinh4202m000).
  • Generate Picking List... (whinh4415m000).

LN automatically generates a new run number if the generation of the advice or list is automatically carried out according to the warehousing procedure

If the generation of the advice or list is defined as a manual activity in the warehousing procedure, you must select an existing run number or let LN generate a run number to be able to generate the advice or list.

Note

You can only delete run numbers for which the related advice lines are processed.

Run

A code assigned to a group of warehousing order lines when they are advised. LN assigns or generates a run number if a user does not manually enter or select a run number while he generates inbound or outbound advice for a group of warehousing order lines. This is the case if, for example, a user generates outbound advice by means of the Generate Advice command in the Outbound Order Lines (whinh2120m000) session. LN assigns run numbers by user. For example, all inbound advice generated by user A on a particular day obtain a particular run number, and those generated by user B obtain another run number. For outbound movements, the user can release outbound advice, generate picking lists, and confirm picking lists by run. For inbound movements, the user can generate storage lists and confirm storage lists by run.

Usage

This field indicates whether the run is inbound or outbound.

User

The logon name of the user who generated the inbound/outbound advice.

Always Allow Reuse

Reusing a run means that to generate inbound or outbound advice or process outbound advice, you use a run assigned to inbound or outbound advice not yet entirely processed.

If this check box is selected, reusing a run number is always allowed when generating inbound or outbound advice or processing outbound advice in the following sessions:

  • Generate Inbound Advice (whinh3201m000)
  • Generate Outbound Advice (whinh4201m000)
  • Process Outbound Advice (whinh4200m000)

If this check box is cleared, in the sessions mentioned previously, when selecting a run assigned to not fully processed advice, you are prompted to skip this run, reuse this run for the current instance, or always allow reuse of this run. The latter option results in automatic selection of this check box.

List Printed

If this check box is cleared, you can still add or remove order lines.

If this check box is selected, the final list is printed; you cannot make further changes. The run can be reused, after all lines of the run are confirmed.

Last Change Date

The last date on which this run was used to generate an outbound advice.
